Super Bowl LII: Photo Ops, Promo Stops

Photo Ops and Promo Stops

From the 45th Annual Twin Cities Auto Show to Super Bowl LII, selfie-culture is driving a big boost in creative promotions and photo opportunities with eye-catching custom builds.

Regardless of the product or industry, these photo ops and promotional requests share three key objectives:

  • Give passers-by a reason to stop
  • Capture visitor information
  • Create buzz on social media and get noticed

The whole point of promo events is to stand out from the crowd. For our end client at the Twin Cities Auto Show this year, our event team drew inspiration from “Carpool Karaoke,” a big hit segment on the Late Late Show with James Corden.

Auto show attendees visited Plug Into MN’s Electric Room for “Electric Car-aoke” while checking out the new 2018 Chevy Bolt. With monitors and cameras inside the car, visitors could dress up, sing along and have their moment captured in a photo.

For the Super Bowl, our event team played off the official “Bold North” theme, partnering with Time Into Pixels Photography, Bloomington CVB and Mall of America to execute the promotion. Our fabrication shop created a one-of-a-kind backdrop where MOA visitors could step inside the state of Minnesota with their favorite props to celebrate the Bold North experience. Using iPads, photos were instantly texted to visitors, so they could share their #BoldNorth experience.

“We had a very successful activation at Mall of America and I would venture to say one of the most popular! From the shop guys to your creative team, to delivery & set-up, you executed it all flawlessly! So very happy to have connected with you on this project!” – Bloomington Convention & Visitors Bureau
