Engaging with Technology – Yes, There’s an App for that

Smart spatial design and a custom mobile app were two ways metroConnections helped the 700+ attendees access information and engage with speakers during the Individualizing Medicine Conference.

To effectively organize the conference’s 137 poster presentations, we employed CAD programming and technical directors to evaluate a variety of layouts for the given space. This virtual space planning helped the client envision how each option would look, making it easier to determine the best configuration.

For greater engagement during the conference, Mayo Clinic utilized a custom mobile app, designed and built by metroConnections. Both the Ask the Speaker function and Polling function were used for the general sessions and every breakout session.

In addition to session-specific support throughout the conference week, metroConnections provided onsite techs at the Tech Support Desk to interface with attendees, assisting with app downloads and answering app-related questions.
